Bethany's

Well this week I gained back the 1.2 pounds that I had just lost. :( I guess that I just need to own it and get back on the ball. Hopefully I'll do well even though my family is coming to visit the next couple of weeks.

Suffered a Setback? Here's How to Get Back on the Wagon

It happens — you miss a few workouts and you feel like you've fallen off the weight-loss wagon. It's tempting to mentally slap yourself around, right? (Or head for the fridge.) Before you start, I want to remind you of something: Being hard on yourself is the Old You.
The New You knows how to deal with setbacks and get back on the wagon. And after all, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences. Weight loss is a process — it takes time. You will encounter small failures — everyone does — but every pound you gain can be lost.

And if you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world! Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals. Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow. New day? New beginning. And don't you forget it!

Laura

I forgot to weigh in yesterday but as of today I stayed the same. This is a bit of a shock seeing as I've been a little out of control lately. Good news is Kristen comes tomorrow and she gets me to the gym and helps me eat better. I can't wait!

Tiffs loss

I lost one pound this week and am still working out almost everyday which seems to be helping with the inches as well!

Bethany's

I wasn't able to go and weigh in at Weight Watchers tonight so I'm not sure how much I lost...well hopefully lost this week. I guess I'll find out next week. Good luck to everyone else though! :D

One Size Doesn't Fit All

Ever try to squeeze your feet into shoes that are one size too small just because you love the style? Doesn't work, does it? Well, maybe you can cram your feet into those shoes for the sake of a special evening, but you can't wear them all the time. They're just too uncomfortable!

Starving yourself with the goal of creating a physique that's contrary to your natural body type is a similar thing. You might get there for a month or two, but eventually your body will rebel. Ultimately, there are three basic body types. It's important to understand your shape and know what you can and can't expect. Which one best describes you?

The apple shape People with apple shapes tend to store fat in their upper bodies, so if an apple is carrying extra weight, it's usually around the belly. Apples have evolved to store fat in this way to adapt to long periods of famine. Fat stored in the upper body can lead to heart disease, so it is important for apples to be health conscious.

The pear shape Pears hold the majority of their fat in the lower body: hips, buttocks, saddlebags. Pears are mostly women. This shape has evolved because fat stored in these areas aids in fertility and breast-feeding. This type of fat is not as much of a health risk as abdominal fat, but it is harder to lose.

The proportioned shape Lucky proportionates have fat cells distributed equally throughout their entire body. When they gain weight, they gain it everywhere. When they lose weight, it comes off evenly.

How to Take Off Those Last 10 Pounds

You know what I like to call those last 10 or 15 pounds that won't come off no matter what you do? Vanity pounds.
The term describes our desire to lose weight that, as far as our bodies are concerned, actually feels healthy. Today's society pressures us to want to look a certain way, so for aesthetic reasons we try to be thinner than our bodies want us to be. Personally, I have gained and lost the same 8 vanity pounds more times than I care to admit.

Losing your first 50 pounds might have been tough, but believe me, dropping those final few stubborn pounds is a whole different challenge. The body struggles to hold on to that last bit of fat for survival purposes.

Now, don't get me wrong — you can lose the weight if you want to, but it will require you to muster a tremendous amount of restraint and willpower. If you're really up for it, do the following for 30 days:

1. Cut your sodium to 1,000 mg a day.
2. Drink at least 80 ounces of water daily.
3. Cut out processed foods.
4. Abstain from alcohol.
5. Train at 85 percent of your MHR (maximum heart rate) for 1 hour 5 times a week.

You can do a lot in 30 days — in fact, I can pretty much guarantee you will lose at least 5 pounds. And you'll feel like a rock star!

Get a Leg Up on Summer With These Moves!

Summer is around the corner, and it's just about time for shorts and skirts. Aren't you tired of covering up your legs with baggy pants and toe-skimming skirts? Of course you are — it's hot under all those clothes! To gain the confidence to flaunt a fabulous pair of gams, you need to learn about your leg muscles and which exercises effectively target them. Let's take a good look at the upper and lower legs:

Upper Legs
The two main muscle groups of your upper legs are the hamstrings and quadriceps.

*The hamstrings, located on the backs of your thighs, are responsible for knee flexion. Knee flexion is the movement that brings your heel back up toward your buttock.
*The quadriceps are the muscles on the front of your thighs. Their main function is knee extension, the movement that straightens the legs.

Lower Legs
The two major muscle groups in your lower legs are the calf muscles, which include the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles, and the dorsiflexors.

*The gastrocnemius and soleus muscles are located on the back of your lower legs. They are involved in plantar flexion, which allows us to extend our ankles and point our toes.
*The dorsiflexors are located on the front of your lower legs and are primarily used for dorsiflexion, in which your bring your toes up toward your shins.

Get Intense

Ever notice the color-coded exercise "zones" listed on cardio machines? There's a "fat burning" zone, an "endurance training" zone, and so forth. The colors look nice, but how many times have you chosen the "fat burning" zone and watched as your fat stayed put? That's because fat-burning programs keep you at a lower intensity level, when to lose weight you really need to burn big calories. That only happens when you exercise at a higher-intensity level.
Let's look at the math. In a half hour of low-intensity exercise, you might burn 100 calories. Of those 100 calories, roughly 80 percent will be fat calories, meaning that you've burned 80 fat calories. In a half hour of high-intensity exercise, you might burn 300 calories. Of those 300 calories, roughly 33 percent will be fat calories, meaning that you've burned around 100 fat calories.

Get it? Even though the percentage of fat calories burned is higher during a low-intensity workout, you're burning so many more total calories during a high-intensity workout that, percentages aside, you are still burning more fat calories — not to mention the 200 additional carb calories.

The Sumo Squat

Have you ever seen a sumo match? These wrestlers may look funny (and flabby), but they're actually powerhouses of strength and balance. In the beginning of a match, the two opponents face off while performing a special type of squat in slow motion. Lifting one leg while leaning to the side, the wrestler uses his full weight and power to strike the mat. After repeating this move with the other leg, the wrestler then sinks down into a deep, wide-legged squat.
You'll probably never have to intimidate a competitor in the ring, but doing this sumo-inspired exercise will strengthen your inner and outer thighs. Best of all, there's no loincloth required!

Sumo Squat

Stand with your feet as wide apart as possible while pointing your toes outward.
Lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
Hold for a beat, exhale, then press back up to starting position. Repeat.
Keep your shoulders directly over your hips at all times. For best results, don't lean forward or let your knees extend beyond your toes. Keep your abs drawn in and don't arch your back.

Jillian Michaels: Eat for Better Health With This Delicious Salmon Dish!

Salmon has a high nutrient profile for a reason. It's full of protein and is a great source of the amino acids you need to build muscle. Plus, it's low in saturated fat and packed with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. It's also a good source of selenium, a mineral that's critical to thyroid function, and vitamin D, which helps preserve muscle.
You can't go wrong with this quick, easy-to-prepare salmon recipe. Not only is it cooked in heart-healthy olive oil, but it's served with a tomato-based salsa rich in lycopene, a powerful cancer-fighting antioxidant. Enjoy this healthy, filling meal any night of the week!

Pan-Seared Salmon With Fennel and Dill Salsa

1 large tomato, chopped
1 cup finely chopped fennel (about 1/2 bulb, stalks trimmed)
2 tablespoons minced red onion
2 tablespoons minced dill
1 tablespoon red-wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1 pound salmon fillet, skinned
Freshly ground pepper to taste
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Combine tomato, fennel, onion, dill, red-wine vinegar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl.

Cut salmon into 4 equal portions and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large nonstick pan over high heat until shimmering but not smoking. Cook the salmon, skinned-side up, until golden brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Turn the salmon over and remove the pan from the heat. Allow the salmon to finish cooking off the heat until just cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes more. Serve immediately with the salsa.

Makes 4 servings.

Jillian Michaels: Slow and Steady

I get these emails from the Jillian Michaels website every so often and I know that they really help me out so I thought that I would share them with you all to give everyone more motivation because I think that we all can use it every now and again. I hope you all enjoy! :)

Remember the fable about the tortoise and the hare? The hare got off to a zippy pace and seemed sure to win. But he didn't, did he? The tortoise, while naturally much slower than the hare, kept moving steadily toward the finish line and was able to cross first.
What's the take-home message of this fable? Slow and steady wins the race. To reach your weight-loss goals, you need to switch from the hare's mind-set to that of the tortoise. In other words, you must break the "all or nothing" mentality.

Do you start diets with superhuman resolve — determined to eschew temptation and work out seven days a week — only to fall off the wagon and give up hope?

Such an approach to anything — especially to your health — can be very appealing, even motivating. But I'm telling you right now that overreaching the most dangerous way to set out. Human beings are imperfect. When you do skip a workout or give in to temptation (something we all do), you're more likely to throw in the towel.

So start thinking like a tortoise. Pace yourself. Have a slice of pizza and take a day off now and then, but don't stray too far from the path that will lead you to your goals

Weight went up... again

I was feeling pretty good about my weight loss until I really looked at how long we have been doing this Blog, it should not be taking me this long. Isn't our date the Reunion? Great that is only a few like 6 weeks away.
I gained about 6 oz.

Bethany's

Ok I gained this week. I knew it would happen though. I got a minor injury that has kept me from working out and just got me down so I wasn't really writing down everything that I ate. Only 0.6 pounds though. I am starting to feel better now so instead of the intense stuff I was doing before I'll just start up walking again. I have to wait until I go to physical therapy to see what I should and shouldn't do to work out now.

Laura

Up 2.6! I am not surprised at all by this. I was having a rough time last week and went 5 days without any loss at all so in frustration, I quit the crazy 500 calorie diet I was doing. I then went a little crazy with the food which I am so mad at myself for! BUT... I felt like I better own this weight gain and move ahead. Now that I'm off the strict diet its going to be an uphill battle every day for me to make better choices. Hopefully next week is much better!

Tiff weight loss

I lost 1.6 lbs this week. I have to admit that it has been a lot easier to lose weight now that I am not working!

I'm Back!

Ok I am back in the game. I actually gained all my weight back by the time I finally moved to Vernal. The good news is I am already down the 3.2 lbs I had originally lost.

Laura

Down 2.2. I was very depressed all week because I wasn't losing at all but today I was down a pound and a half which made me a lot happier! I think my body was done with the diet I was doing because yesterday I finally just ate normal food but small portions and I finally lost doing that. So now I'm just eating small portions and trying to eat healthy food. We'll see how it goes!

I have been super busy lately and haven't had a chance to post my weigh in. I finally broke my plateau last week. Not by much but I'll take what I can get. I lost 0.2 lbs. The funny thing is that I haven't been able to exercise for a while now because my schedule has been so hectic. Maybe that is what did it lol.

Where is everyone??? Now that I'm finally gung ho, everyone is quitting? Come on you guys! You can do it! I was down another 5.6 pounds on Friday and have even lost more since then but will keep that amount to myself until Friday. I know you are all on the edges of your seats!

Friday, May 1, 2009

I lost 8 oz haha but I am ok its not about the numbers for me anymore. I am feeling good, I am so sore I can hardly pick up Liberty. I have been working out everyday!!!

Laura

6.8!!! I am loving this diet! I started a new tracker because I gained weight on the last tracker. I'm not gonna get down about that though, I've decided to forget it and move on! I started the new diet on Saturday which consisted of two full days of eating as much fat as I could. Crazy, I know! Then Monday started my hardcore dieting and I've got to say, I'm not hating it. I've learned why I've gained so much weight other than I don't like to workout and I love bad food... I have stopped myself from putting food in my mouth nonstop! I had to bake some cakes and I wanted to lick the spoon or my fingers, I had some extra roast beef after I sliced meat at Krazy Sub and I wanted to put it in my mouth, I made some frosting and almost licked my finger....etc...etc...
I think more than anything, forty days of this diet will help me to get out of some of my really bad habits.

Janet's Weight Loss Journey

I lost 0.2 pounds from my lowest weight during our WOW support group, but 1.8 this last week. It has been hard trying to figure out how to do this while working nights. I think that I will need to count points for a 24 hour period.

Wierdest diet ever...

You guys are going to die when you hear what I have eaten on my first day of this diet.
-egg, cheese, bacon, potato burrito (huge)
-chocolate chip cookies
-orange chicken and noodles from Panda
-ice cream cone
-cheesy bread
-2 slices of pizza
-salad with dressing
-3 krispy kreme donuts

Tomorrow will be more of the same except it will be homemade since it's Sunday. On this diet, you have to fat load as much as possible for the first two days you are on it and then go all the way down to around 500 calories a day after that. Saddest part of this day was that I didn't even enjoy any of the food until dinner time. I just wasn't hungry even before I started. I finally have a day that I can eat whatever I want with no guilt and I didn't even want it! Maybe I'll enjoy it more tomorrow. We'll see if this is as crazy as it sounds on Friday when I weigh in! I'll suffer through this and be the guinea pig for all of you! :)

P.S.: Bethany: They say on this diet that if you ever have a time that you stop losing weight that you should eat 6 apples and nothing else spread out through the day for one day. Also, only water to satisfy your thirst. No diet drinks. She said that everyone who tried it started losing again after that. Wierd I know but it might be worth a try!

what gives!?

Surprise surprise I am still at the same weight. I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I did so good even when I was on vacation. I ate salads on the trip to and from with heathy snacks in the car. I only ate 1/2 of the 8" sub that I got at Krazy Sub (which was really hard to do by the way because it was so yummy), when Frank brought home Little Ceasars I only ate one slice of cheese pizza and I exercise 5 times this week! Does anyone have any suggestions for me because I am getting really discouraged. I just don't know what to do.

Joye

This week I lost a pound but I am not putting up my ticker thing because I haven't updated it from the past couple of times so it really doesn't show the right amount. Does anyone have any ideas on a good weight lifting routine to do at the gym? I usually run 3 days a week and am trying to do weights for 2 days but I hate to go and do weights, probably because I don't know which is the best.

Thursday, April 23, 2009

Laura

I'm not giving my weight this week again because I havent even been trying. I have an appointment tonight with a lady that is getting me on kind of a more extreme diet. I know it's not good to do these extreme diets but I need something to get me started because I just can't get my mind in that eating better mode. I'll do that for about a month and then I will go to the points system after my kick start. Wish me luck!

Janet's Weight Loss Journey

I lost 2.2 last week and then went up 1.6 this week. My little butterfly has been stuck on the same flowers for a long time!! I really need to get motivated. My graduation is approaching fast.

Tiff weight

Thanks to the Easter Bunny I gained 1 pound this week! Heres to a better week without candy!

Bethany

I am still at the same weight. I think that I have hit a plateau for sure. Hopefully things will start moving forward again for me next week.

Amy's Weight Loss

I lost 1.6 lbs! I am happy but I also had the stomach flu this week :) Plus I had a cold and was not able to work out at all! I just got out of bed for the first time yesterday, but I am motivated for odd reasons and I am ready for next week!

Easter Week

This week was not a good week. I knew that from the beginning, I ate way too much Easter candy so that is why I gained this week. I will say I am happy with only gaining two pounds which is really kind of sad. I am hoping that now that the good Easter candy is gone I will do better this next week. I hope everyone else had a better week than I did and actually lost instead of gained.

Oops! I was going the wrong direction!! Gained 2.

Joye's Weight

This was a surprise week for me. I lost 2 pounds. I thought I would have stayed the same or maybe even gained again because I only went to the gym twice this week and had a few treats. But I guess staying longer at the gym really helped along with not eating all the candy Micah brought home.

Laura's weight

I'm down a pound but still up from the beginning after getting off track a bit.

Tiffany's Weight

I stayed the same, but am still 1 lb more than what I have been.

Weight Gain for Lindsey

Wow I really need to get back on track here.

I gained

Well I gained 2 pounds!!!! But it's ok cause I joined a walking group in my ward that walks 3 times a week. I know its down to having to work out to lose the rest so I am making a work out routine that will be easy to stick too. Good luck this week!!!

bethany

Nothing gained nothing lost. I have had a super stressful week, so I guess that I am just glad that I didn't gain anything.

Saturday, March 28, 2009

I lost 1.6 this week! I have finally lost the weight I gained back. It took awhile, but I feel good. Hopefully I'll be able to continue losing the weight.

Laura's update

I'm just going to admit it. I'm not very good at this weight loss thing. Incentive is what I need! Any suggestions? I can not get into the swing of it. Every morning I wake up thinking I'm going to do great and every night I go to bed mad at myself. Next week...

Janet's Week

After all of my enthusiasm last week, I hit a STRESSFUL week! I need to remember that the source of my strength is not in food. Here's to another week committed to good, helpful habits that nurture me.

Lost 0.1 and very glad I didn't gain. Thanks for everyone's support. This is very helpful.

Tiffany

I did not weigh in this week cuz my scales are packed. I'm sure I gained a little, its been a crazy week with packing and moving! I 'll weigh in next week!

Joye

I gained 2 pounds this week. I know I need to be better when Micah comes home with doughnuts and treats and not eat them but this week that was not the case. Does anyone have any good ideas for when Micah does bring home sweets to a better "treat?"

Mary's Weight Gain

It's been a bad week. I've been eating like crazy and not exercising at all. I gained 2 lbs.

Amy's weekly loss

I lost 1.2 pounds! I'm so excited with this and Bethany's articles about exercise I think I am motivated once again. My original weight goal was 118 so I could fluctuate around 120. But I am now thinking about staying around 125 while I am still nursing. I might change my ticker to only track my work outs. I'm still deciding. Anyways here is to a week of sweating! Bring on the work outs.

Oh also has anyone else seen the infomercial for P90x? Our ward is totally into it and everyone is buying it!! Jeff and I are hooked and want to as well but it's so expensive!! So I am trying to find a routine kinda like that but on our own, plus I have heard you can hardly walk after working out with this video. I was looking at the Biggest loser boot camp haha. Maybe I should focus on just going walking everyday first before I dive into something like this :)
Good luck everyone this week!

it's not just about the weight loss

Who doesn't want to look totally hot? If you asked 100 people who were starting to exercise for the first time (or returning to regular workouts after a long time off) what their main motivation was, the majority of them would say something like, "I want to look good," or "I want to fit into a size __ again." And hey, whatever gets you on track initially is good enough for me. But when that scale hasn't budged in a few weeks, it's time to remind yourself that there are lots of other reasons to make exercise a habit.

Research has clearly linked coronary heart disease, diabetes, and cancer to lifestyle. Apart from aiding in weight loss, physical activity offers a positive, healthy way to release anxieties and alleviate tension, which can help reduce your risk of many lifestyle-related diseases. Exercise also supports mental well-being: Physical activity actually changes your brain chemistry, which directly influences your mood and frame of mind for the better. Among other things, physical activity triggers the release of endorphins, which act on the brain as natural tranquilizers.

In addition, exercise will boost your confidence. As you start working out and getting stronger, your sense of strength in other aspects of your life will naturally flourish. Bottom line: The more physically fit you are, the longer you'll live and the better your quality of life will be.

move it to lose it

Know someone who's getting amazing results from an insanely low calorie diet? It may be tempting to try severely restricting your calories to lose weight fast, but don't even think about it! The reality is that very few of us can stay on those kinds of crazy diets for more than a couple of weeks. And to make things worse, most people on starvation diets gain back all of the weight (and more) just a few months later.

In weight-loss terms, fat is energy and the best way to lose it is to use it. You have to do it with diet and exercise. If you diet without exercise, the majority of your weight loss will be from muscle. The minute you stray from your diet, the weight will come right back.

The only way to lose it for good is to get moving! Exercise not only helps you burn calories, it also helps build, strengthen, and maintain lean muscle. Exercise has another benefit called "afterburn." A great cardio routine keeps burning fat not just during your workout, but for hours afterward. Not bad, eh?

Doing any kind of physical activity is healthier than sitting on the couch downing a bag of chips. Activities like bowling and golf burn calories, but not enough. To see dramatic weight loss, you must do cardio. Cardio is defined as any activity that is rhythmic, continuous and requires large muscles like the legs, back and chest. While bowling and golf get you moving, the action is stop and start. There's no reason to give up those hobbies, just be aware that you must put in time on the treadmill (or some other cardio activity) as well.

Tiff's weight gain

I gained 1/2 pound. I am with Amy, this is getting harder.

surprised

I had been weighing myself every morning this last week and the scale was not moving at all. But this morning when I weighed in at W.W. I had lost 2 pounds! Maybe my scale is broken, haha. So now I only have 1.2 pounds of my vacation weight left to lose. I think that this week my goal should be not to step on the scale until I actually need to weigh in so I don't get discouraged. :)

Amy's Weight Gain

I gained a pound, enough said.

Mary's Weight Loss

Okay, it's 1.4 this week. Slow and steady. Slow and steady. Only 58 pounds to go!

Lindsey's Weight Loss

I lost a pound. It may look like more on my ticker but that's because I am going to try to do this without going to weight watchers and rely on this blog for the modivation. My scale is about a pound off from weight watchers but from now on i'm going off of what my scale says. Hopefully I can still do this. Less than 8 pounds to go.

Joye's Week

Stayed the same, nothing lost and nothing gained.

Slow But Steady!

Since I gained 0.4 last week, I am basing my weight loss on the week before.
I lost 1.2! I am happy. I am not sure if I said this before, but my goal is to lose my nursing school weight gain by my graduation on May 15th. I see that everyone is getting discouraged -- We Can Do It! Just imagine how fun it will be to celebrate our weight losses together at the family reunion!

Is it just me...

I feel like I have lost my motivation. Am I the only one? What can we do to get us motivated again. I really want to eat right and work out why is it so hard!!!

another tip from jillian

Say The Right Stuff

"You're fat."
"Don't bother exercising today — it won't make a bit of difference."
"No wonder you're fat — you have no self-control."

Would you ever say any of these things to your best friend, your spouse, child, or even a co-worker? No! So why is it okay to say such hurtful things to yourself?

It's not okay! Remember, EVERYTHING goes back to self. A vital part of changing your attitude is changing your self-talk — your internal monologue, the chattering conversation you have with yourself all day long, whether you are aware of it or not. It's this kind of useless negativity that can hold you back, keeping you from being the best that you can be. And now is the time to turn it around once and for all.

Your self-talk can make the difference between self-assurance and self-doubt, happiness and despair, success and failure. I can promise you that if you start making your self-talk more positive and affirming, and less defeatist and self-deprecating, your whole life will change for the better.

jillian michaels tip for the day

Tues: Feeling Good!
Find the Middle Ground

What's your favorite treat? Come on now — if you could eat your way out of a room filled with one kind of food, what would it be? Cake? Potato Chips? Chocolate? Cheese? Ice cream? When you know that you can never have just one potato chip, it's tempting to swear off that food forever — especially now that you're focused on improving your health, diet, and physique. But as many of us have found out from experience, labeling something as "forbidden" makes it all the more appealing!

A critical step in renouncing the destructive, all-or-nothing mind-set is knowing how to walk the line between self-denial and self-indulgence. It is the middle ground that offers the best foundation on which to build your new life. Denying yourself little pleasures such as an occasional glass of wine or a chocolate truffle will only make you feel deprived, frustrated, and ultimately hopeless about maintaining your discipline. A temptation is a lot less powerful if it isn't totally forbidden. This is where moderation comes in.

There is room for all foods, no matter how "bad" they are; it's just a matter of being conscious and careful of how often and how much. It's fine to have a piece of cake now and then, just not every day, and not the whole cake.

My Unlucky Weight Loss for Friday the 13th

Gain of 0.4! I have to laugh at my body. Slow and steady and grateful that I didn't gain more even though I have been perfect on the plan.

Thank you Amy for my cute ticker. I may have not lost any weight, but my ticker makes me happy!

Amy's

I stayed the same, but I'm happy about that cause we were on vacation all week and ATE GOOD.

Mary's Weight Loss

NOTHING! Of course I didn't exercise or watch what I was eating very well so I'm glad I didn't gain.

Becky's weigh in

I lost 2.8 pounds this week. I don't know how much I'm going to concentrate this next week. I've got more serious things to worry about. We just found out yesterday that my mom has breast cancer. I wish all the rest of you well.
Love,
Becky

not so good

So I decided to step on the scale today to see the damage caused by Corey being here. I am so sad that I did so badly. I am just hopping that it will all come off as quickly as it came on. Over the two weeks I have had a gain of 3 pounds. :( Not so good.

vacation

So I spent all of last week at Disneyland so I'm not even going to weight myself this week. I am sure that I gained more than I care to know, haha. I was planning on eating really well by going grocery shopping and eat those Smart Ones meals that have the weight watchers points on them, but our hotel didn't have a fridge or a microwave for that matter! What is that about!? But I'm back now and can get back into my normal routine of eating and exercising!

Lindsey's Weight Loss

K I'm excited! I was nervous that I wasn't even going to lose the .2 that I wanted to reach 10lbs. I lost 1.2. I really need to be better at working out then maybe I would be losing 2 lbs more often. Oh well I'll take a pound a week. Better than gaining right.

Stress=food=gain

Yes, I gained 1/2 a pound back this week. I had a really stressful few days and ate things I shouln't have. I got back on the wagon today and WILL do better this week.

Laura's weigh in

I lost a pound. Yes, A pound. That's all.

Joye's Weigh In

Hooray I lost 4 pounds, not really I forgot my password to change my ticker thing and I had to start over again. But I did lose 3 pounds. I guess it does pay off to have a week off of everything and than get back on the exercise and eating right routine. Not that I will be doing that every other week. Here's to another week at the gym!
